This small, very charming country hotel (Relais & Châteaux member since 1976) in a beautifully renovated 16th century Elizabethan manor house is situated in a rural setting and is the perfect example of a typical English country house. Set in beautiful gardens designed by the famous, creative and innovative gardener William Robinson, it boasts a stylish ambience, exquisite international cuisine awarded 4 AA Rosettes and a Michelin star, well-stocked wine cellar, 17 feudal, individually decorated bedrooms and suites, classic lounge and bar and absolutely exemplary attentive service. Please note that the hotel has no lift and no guest rooms on the ground floor.
